Buck Rogers was a character from the short stories “The Airlords of Han” and “Armageddon 2419 AD.” These stories were published in the short story collection Amazing Stories. He also became a character in a comic strip. Soon he went on to inspire role playing games, movies, stories and a television series. Action figures of Buck Rogers soon emerged into the market.
The first time we met Buck Rogers was in 1929, but it wasn’t until the 1970’s when his television series came out that action figures of him started to emerge in the plenty. It was produced by Mego. Series one of the action figures were released in 1979. They are 3 ¾ action figures with as good a detail it can get for action figures of that size. They had moveable arms and legs and could be posed in different stances. The original set includes: Buck Rogers, Draco, Ardella, a Draconian guard, Dr. Huer, Killer Kane Tiger Man, Twiki and Wilma Deering. The Buck Rogers collection is a classic and many collectors around the world want to get their hands on the Buck Rogers action figures. They don’t only want to complete them for their collection but for memory’s sake as well.
