Count Dooku was a Jedi Master who studied the ways of the Force for nearly eight decades. He was one of the Force’s most powerful practitioners. He left the commission and formed the Separatist Movement, which became a threat to the Republic. Unknown to the Jedi Council, Count Dooku has been corrupted with the Dark Side. After his separation from the Jedi Order, Dooku was lured to the Dark Side by Darth Sidious, the Dark Lord of the Sith. Count Dooku was given the name Darth Tyranus and became deceitful and treacherous. With his identity as Darth Tyranus hidden, he was able to convince the galaxy’s most powerful barons to group themselves together to challenge the Republic.
While posing as Tyranus, he took in Jango Fett, a notorious bounty hunter, and made him a template for a hidden clone army in Komino. During the Clone Wars, Dooku was killed by Anakin Skywalker. Before Anakin ended Dooku’s life, Dooku realized that Darth Sidious deceived him. It was Anakin whom Darth Sidious was eyeing to become his apprentice, the new Sith.
