Disney has brought to us many lovable characters, and one of them is the cooking rat, Remy, from the 2007 CG film Ratatouille, produced by Pixar. Remy aspires to be a cook, despite being a rat, and with the help of a restaurant’s assistant, he is able to make his dreams come true. Ratatouille gives the viewers a heartwarming story about having goals and reaching for them. Even though Remy is a rat, he believes that he will one day be a cook. With the help of a hallucination of the late great chef Gusteau, Remy finds his way to Gusteau’s restaurant and discovers he can control Linguini, a chef’s assistant who is hopeless with actual cooking. Later on they find out that Linguini is actually Gusteau’s son, and the rightful heir to the restaurant. Afterwards, Remy begins to feel left out after Linguini only spends time with Colette. The pair starts to have misunderstandings, but they eventually work it out when the harsh critic, Anton Ego, comes to the restaurant to check their food. Together, they overcome the hardships and present the best food, the simple dish called ratatouille.
