The Ewoks are bear-like creatures from Endor’s forest moon. They are only about one meter tall. Ewoks are skilled forest inhabitants. They are fast learners when exposed to simple mechanical processes and concepts. They live high up on trees. They hunt the forest ground by setting up traps to catch their preys. These forest dwellers believe they are descendants of the sacred tree in the forests, the Great Tree. They believe that is it from the Great Tree that all life springs. The Ewoks are ruled by the Council of Elders headed by a Chief. There also lives among them a medicine man who is also a keeper of mystical lore.
The Empire initiated operations on the moon of Endor and didn’t find the Ewoks as threats. Princess Leia, a member of a Rebel Strike Team, befriended the Ewok Wicket W. Warrick. The Ewoks thought that the protocol droid C-3PO was their God so they worshipped him. The Ewoks aligned themselves with the rebels; they helped Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, and Han Solo in their battle against the Imperial. There are several known Ewok action figures in the market. Two are mentioned here, Wicket W. Warrick, the young Ewok friend of Princess Leia; and Logray, the medicine man.
