There are no Jaws action figures per se but there is a box set with a figure that is ideal for display. The Jaws Box Set by McFarlane toys from the Movie Maniacs Series 4 includes the shark, the character Quint and the fishing boat Orca.
The shark has no points of articulation but the heavily detailed sculpting sure does make up for it. The Quint figure that seems to come as a mere accessory in the set has multiple points of articulation. This includes shoulders, waist and hips. The waist completely comes off to show the characters bloody innards. Quint is a nine-inch action figure.
As for the rest of the playset, it is not so satisfactory in terms of articulation. The door on the cabin of the fishing boat opens and the dish mounted on the mast turns but that is it. Overall, the entirety of the set has impressive graphics as McFarlane’s main expertise is still sculpting. This fact makes it ideal for displaying purposes. It even comes with a blue sky insert to make it more realistic. For those collectors who may be considering putting it on display while inside the box, it is possible. However, while the boat and the shark are beautifully showcased, the figure of Quint is not as visible as people would hope for. It is recommended to get it out of the box to take advantage of all the details of all the pieces that come with the set.
