Lego Belville is the product line of Lego that primarily appeals to girls. Although still containing the traditional building bricks found in conventional Lego sets; albeit larger in size and in unconventional colors not normally found in other Lego sets (pink, purple, and some with glitter).
Also different in Belville are the figures. The figures in Belville are larger and have more points of articulation than the more common Lego minifigures; these figures have knees and elbows. And in some sets there are also fabric clothing for the figures, which are previously unheard of in the primarily plastic Lego universe.
The themes for Lego Belville are understandably “girlier” than in the other lines. These themes include equestrienne, playing house, and other themes appealing to young girls. There are also fairytale-based sets; like Thumbelina, the Princess and the Pea, and the Snow Queen.
The Belville line of Lego toys understandably has less emphasis on constructing buildings and vehicles since the main focus of the line are young girls; still the Lego Corporation does not compromise the quality of their product. There are still lavish details on the figures and on some blocks that serve as ornaments.
So if you think that Lego are just for boys, think again.
