Lego Bionicles, once a part of the Technics line of Lego toys, now has a toy line of its own. Primarily comprising of action figures, Bionicles (or biological chronicles) sets that let you build your own part mechanical, part organic hero.

The Bionicle series of toys has become one of the most successful line that Lego has released; thanks to clever marketing strategies mostly involving the Bionicle website. The website contains the character bios and the main Bionicle adventure game, where you can play as your favorite Bionicle character.
The Bionicle storyline is set in the Matoran Universe. It began when six heroes (Tahu, Lewa, Gali, Kopaka, Pohatu, and Onua) got stranded in an island called Mata Nui. Remembering nothing except their names, they began to embark on their quest to help free the natives (the Matoran) from the clutches of the evil Brotherhood of the Makuta. These adventures are based on the numerous Bionicle books and comic books that were published in conjunction with the toys.

Each set includes, the action figure, and a multitude of weapons. Since it was originally from the Technics line of Lego toys, one can expect a bit of complicated machinery in these toys; like glowing eyes and reticulated limbs.

Though the Bionicle toy line will be discontinued in the later part of 2010, fans can be assured that the Bionicle story shall still continue.
