Everyone wants to be the mayor of his own city; the Lego Corporation recognized this want and released their Lego City line of toys.
Once called Legoland, Lego Town, and Lego World City; the City line of Lego sets has been one of the most successful themes of the company, being one of the “core” themes. This theme has been so popular that every year ever since it started, at least one set is added to the line.
Based on an urban theme; the buildings in this line of toys range from police stations, fire houses, and other emergency services. But aside from the normal city buildings they also include sea and desert rescue themes and also a massive airport themed set complete with structures and planes. There are also some sets that delve into island living, and some having a beach resort theme to them. The massive amount of themes in this line is what made it the most popular Lego line ever.
So if ever you have enough space at the basement of your house, an acre or so might be enough; you’ll be able to build your own miniature city using Lego.
