Mace Windu was a senior member of the Jedi High Council. He was an experienced and well-respected Jedi. He was known for his great wisdom and his words carried a lot of weight. He was knowledgeable about the ancient prophecy where it is written that a Chosen One would return the balance of the Force. Though he acknowledged Anakin Skywalker’s great potential, Windu was very hesitant when Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn presented Anakin to the Council and insinuated that he is a possible candidate as fulfillment of the prophecy. It was during a battle with Palpatine that Mace Windu was killed by the Sith Lord, who was in fact, Palpatine. It was Anakin himself who rendered Windu powerless before Windu could strike Palpatine.
Mace Windu became a member of the High Council at the age of 28. He willingly accepted dangerous missions and never wavered in his fighting edge. Mace Windu was one of the best light saber fighters, it is said that only Yoda and Dooku were able to defeat him. He was recognized as one of the most skilled Jedi, he mastered the Form VII Discipline of Combat, known as Vaapad. Mace Windu action figures are good representations of Samuel L. Jackson, the actor who portrayed the character in the movie. The figure comes with a purple light saber.
