Padme Amidala is a Senator in the Planet Naboo. She was considered as one of the best and the brightest in their planet. She was elected Queen of Naboo at the tender age of 14, and she became known as Queen Amidala. Whenever the Queen would sense danger, she disguises herself as one of her handmaidens and uses her less formal name, Padme. Her handmaiden, Sabe, assumes the role of Queen in her place. When Padme’s life was under attack, Supreme Chancellor Palpatine placed Padme under the protection of the Jedi Masters.
It was then that she saw Anakin Skywalker again, a decade after they first met. Anakin and Padme fell in love. But it was forbidden for them both since Anakin, as a Jedi, is not allowed to have romantic relationships, while Padme needs to focus on her career. Anakin and Padme were the real parents of the twins, Luke and Leia. Padme Amidala has been portrayed in a number of different ways as seen in different versions of Padme action figures. One representation is as Queen Amidala complete with her elaborate red gown as seen in the movie. Her face painted in white with the iconic beauty marks on each of her cheeks.
