Predator is a science fiction action horror adventure film released in 1987 starring Arnold Schwarzenegger. The story follows the experience of an elite team on a mission to rescue hostages in Central America. They are hunted by an extraterrestrial life form for mere sport.
The reception to this film was good along with the sequels that followed. It grossed a total of $80 million in the United States and a total of $120 Million in international theaters. The central theme of the movie was found appealing by many action/adventure film fans as well as those who enjoy alien movies that feature gory looking creatures. This movie also participated in a film crossover with Alien (Alien Versus Predator).
