Everyone has heard of Prince of Persia, these days mostly because of the recent film in the same title. In reality, this is the title of a video game that was first introduced in 1989 using DOS as its platform. This has been constantly redeveloped to be used in other computer operating systems to the present days. In this game, the main character known only as the Prince of Persia has remained to be nameless. His name has still been unknown even in the 2008 version where it has been available in a number of platforms or game consoles. However, in the 2008 version of the game, he is now accompanied by a woman named Elika.
As the only constant character in this game is the nameless prince, most of the action figures have only been created in his image. However, in one of the installments of the game, Sands of Time, he becomes a sand monster in some segments of the game. Action figures have depicted him and most of the villains or antagonists in the game. These action figures have especially become popular with the recent release of the movie where the prince has been created in the image of Jake Gyllenhaal.
