Princess Leia, also known as Leia Organa, is a leader in the alliance to restore the Republic. She is also a former member of the Imperial State, and a member of the Royal Family of Alderaan. Princess Leia is the daughter of Anakin Skywalker, a Jedi pupil who later became Darth Vader, and Padme Amidala. Leia and her twin brother, Luke, were born in secrecy as protection from Dart Vader and the Emperor. Leia was raised by Obi-Wan Kenobi’s friend Bail Organa who lived in the planet of Alderaan, while her twin brother Luke was taken to the planet Tatooine.
Princess Leia grew up to be a strong woman. Some even say she has a forceful personality, though she lived a sheltered life in the care of Bail Organa and his wife. She met Luke Skywalker when he rescued her when she was taken as prisoner of Darth Vader. She is petite and fair-skinned and has beautiful brown eyes. Leia’s image has become iconic. Princess Leia figure depicts her in a white long dress with her signature hairstyle that looks like two sandwich buns.
