Ratchet and Clank was first introduced in 2002 to be played in the PlayStation 2 platform. This vide game takes place in a distant planet where an unusual array of characters are found. The main characters begin with Ratchet, a creature that resembles a bobcat. He then meets Clank who is a small robot that has formed an alliance with him. Clank is often seen riding on Ratchet’s back and serves a number of purposes and abilities. There are cases when Clank would be the primary character in areas that are inaccessible by Ratchet. Clank can turn in to a jetpack or booster. He also has the ability to control gadgebots that appear like small versions of him.
Action figures have been designed with the inspiration of the Ratchet and Clank series. These come in a wide variety where Ratchet and Clank are presented individually while others have created them together in one piece, as they would appear in the game.
