In 1997, Alan Marshall and Jon Davison first introduced the Starship Troopers in the its full-length movie form. It featured a story that meant an intergalactic battle between the Bugs and Mankind. Johnny Rico was a young soldier who enlisted in the mobile infantry where he encountered a variety of people and countless adventures.
The movie received its fair share of criticism and success. Following the success of this military science fiction film, other sequels were produced in later years. Fans from all over were rather delighted and became avid followers of the story and its characters. With this, a number of editions of action figures were developed and released to the public for collections. Earlier models were based from the depictions of the characters while others were more realistically following the appearances of the actors who portrayed them. Among the action figures that you will find will include Johnny Rico, Dizzy Flores, Carmen Ibanez, Ace Levy, Carl Jenkins, Zim, Sugar Watkins and Zander Barcalow. You will also find the “Bugs” along with the mobile infantry’s artillery, tanks and starship. There were also generic forms of these action figures where unnamed troopers were introduced as part of the collection – especially when on wishes to form their own battalion.
