The Stormtroopers are the most recognizable characters from the Star Wars movies. These military soldiers represent how mighty the Imperial is. Their main duty is to protect the Empire from its enemies. The Stormtroopers are fierce ground-based soldiers as well as members of the space-based Imperial Starfleet. They swore to obey orders without question and without regard for their own safety. These soldiers are encased in a white armored spacesuit shell. Their main weapon is the blaster pistol or rifle. They have helmets which were programmed for communications. Their officers had colored shoulder pauldrons. There are two separate units of the Stormtroopers; these are the Imperial Army and the Imperial Navy.
These Stormtroopers also had the same organization patterns with real life military soldier. They had squads, platoons, companies, battalions, regiments, and battle groups, also called legions. There are 820 men in one Stormtrooper battalion. Among the ranks of these Stormtroopers, they have specializations. There are aquatic assault Stormtroopers who are assigned to marine environments; the blackhole Stormtroopers who were directly reporting to Blackhole, Imperial Intelligence agent; and also the desert Stormtroopers.
