The Thunderbirds television series was a television show released in September of 1965. Until December of 1966. The film made use of marionette puppetry as their medium. Thunderbirds are machines used by the Tracy’s to help those who are in need.

The main characters in the television series pilot their own Thunderbirds; Scott pilots the Thunderbird 1, a rocket plane used for fast response. Tracy pilots Thunderbird 2, a lifting body aircraft used to carry heavy duty aircrafts. Alan pilots Thunderbird 3, the spaceship used for space rescue. Gordon is the aquanaut of Thunderbird 4, a submersible used for underwater rescue. And John operates the space station called Thunderbird 5. Other characters in the story include Jeff, the father of the Tracy’s, Brains, their scientist, and Penelope, the London agent with a chauffeur called Parker who is an ex criminal. The story revolves around their rescue missions and their life as a family rescuing other people who are in need.
